| Interior design
There is seldom such a thing as a “routine” book design — nearly every manuscript contains elements and nuances that benefit from custom design. When you ask me to design a book, I’ll provide you with a product that will be useful to the reader, attractive and interesting to look at, sensible in its arrangement, and mindful of all the nuances of the manuscript — while at the same time taking into account practical business-end considerations such as target market, desired book length, trim size requirements, and margins suitable for different binding styles.
Below is a gallery of some of my interior designs suggesting the variety and style of my work.

| Typography
Often the typesetting of a book is just as important as its design. Together, good design and careful typography can ensure that the original intentions of author and editor are embodied in the finished product. Meticulous attention at the composition stage can also help achieve a desired book length.
Particularly with complex books — those containing mathematical equations, numerous tables, or abundant figures — attentive typography ensures that the design is implemented clearly and attractively.
