Concept:
I created this series of illustrations for a book describing how the United States military, after discovering the wreck of a Japanese Zero fighter plane, reconstructed the plane from the wreckage and thereby stole the technology. The illustrations were placed in sequence on the openers of each of the ten chapters in the book, conceptually mirroring the reconstruction of the airplane.
